One could guess maybe a half hour had passed since the group had drifted off into dreamland, completely unaware that their destination was quickly approaching. Farther off the outline of a duller world appeared, it's murky waters lined with ships. The gummi ship grew closer and closer, awaiting the command that never came. So, it continued to ride straight towards the world, no one telling it to slow.
A violent burst of turbulence rocked the ship, sending Mel flying up and off her seat. She finally awoke while she was in midair, and watched as she landed sprawled across the hard floor. Her vision was blurry and she was still seeing spots from her latest fall. Suddenly, it hit her that she had fallen asleep and what had probably caused the ship to rock.
Scrambling to her feet, Melody swiftly turned around and started pressing buttons. Oh no, oh no, this was not good. She wasn't awake when she should have slowed the ship down and now they were racing through the world's atmosphere. A crash was unavoidable now.
Gritting her teeth, the still drowsy girl pulled back on the steering control as hard as she could and leaned back. "Hang on!" She yelled, preparing for the impact.

Edmy was wide awake as they entered roughly, and when Melody moved as a quick blur to the steering wheel, his nerves calmed slightly. He squeaked when she shouted back at him, and he jumped to his feet, stumbling a bit. He tugged lightly at her jacket as he slid past, then resumed stumbling a few staggered steps to hide behind the co-pilot seat. His logic lead to if they did crash, as it seemed they would, the chair would protect him from the flying glass. If it turned to be the backside violently rocked, well, he could handle a beating from the chair. He shut his eyes tightly, ignoring the lose strands that tickled at his forehead for once that day.

Mel felt as Edmy tugged at her jacket and for one second, just that one second, let her guard down. She snapped her head back to see if he needed help to see that he must have only slipped and grabbed onto her for balance. When she finally turned her head back around, the ground was only inches away and it surprised her. As they first made contact with the ground, Mel was sent flying back, her grip loose from surprise.
As the ship bounced a bit as it's bottom hit the ground, Melody's flight path was obstructed by the chair, her right upper arm taking most of the impact. She clenched her teeth to stop herself from crying out in pain and felt her eyes start to tear up. Damn it, that hurt worse then anything she had felt before! As the ship slowed to a stop, Mel grabbed onto her arm with her left hand to try and stop the pain.
Suddenly, she felt hot and looked down at her hand. There was blood on her palm. God, she either hit it that hard to break the skin or sliced her arm on something sharp under the seat. She guessed the second one. She didn't bother looking at it and put her hand back on to keep pressure on. At least the blood wouldn't show on her red jacket.

Edmy winced has his head met the metal rim of the chair, but the pain dulled quickly, and he spun around to check on his fellow escapee. He poked around the corner quickly, bumping his head into her back. "Ugh, Sorry" he murmured, pulling himself out so he sat diagonal from her, legs stretched out. He had managed to get a slight cut on his left ankle, but it wasn't anything major, so when he noticed Melody's position, he immediately did the most obvious. "Are you o.k.?" he asked softly, knowing the answer from her face. His fingers brushed her leg lightly, but he brought it down onto the dirty metal so he could lean on it and still be able to study her reaction.

Melody kept a tight grip on her arm but her hand was soon not enough to keep the blood in. Shit, that cut must be pretty bad for it to bleed like this. But what could she have possibly cut it on to cause this kind of injury? Whatever, she didn't want to think about that right now. She should focus on the situation at hand, stopping the bleeding. She didn't have any cloth or anything to tie around it, so her hand would have to do for the moment.
Melody looked over as Edmy bumped into her again, hoping he was in better shape then her, not that she was in that bad of shape but still. He had enough problems. Trying to cover up the obvious look of hurt on her face, she let out a small smile and flicked her head back to get hr bangs out of her eyes.
"I'm fine, just a little cut." Mel lied, not only to the boy, but to herself. She wasn't good at admitting she was hurt or sick, wanting to seem like she could help everyone else before herself. "The real question is are you okay? Your the one who tends to get hurt."

His sea orbs focused on her hand quickly, assessing that that was the conflict, watching the blood with a slight frown. When she tried to assure him it turned it a complete frown, adjusting to sit upright so he could rummage through one of his cargo pockets. "Ha ha. I'm fine, Though thats true. Thats why..." The dead lighter fell away from him, but he ignored it to pull out a small wad of medical gauze out. He held it between two fingers, waving it slightly as he brushed away those repetitive lose hairs. "I have experience" he joked, smiling slightly as he licked his fingers, wetting the offending strands, trying to plaster them back to the main mass. "May I see what I can do?"

Mel let out a little laugh as Edmy spoke about himself getting hurt. The poor guy was just too clumsy for his own good. Herself, not so much. That was the reason she was surprised to have this wound because she usually never got hurt. Sighing, she looked down at her arm, the blood dripping through her fingers. Then, she looked back to the boy with pain filled eyes though still held that small smile. She nodded and took her hand off her arm for a second to slip her arm out of her sleeve. She winced as the material drug across her cut but let out a sigh as it came out. She made a face as she saw the wound but merely shook her head. "My poor jacket." She mumbled, looking at the slice in it.

Edmy smiled softly, peeling apart the pieces of the white medical fabric carefully, pausing before pressing one to the messy opening. He re-adjusted his position, using his free hand to grab lightly onto her elbow. "You'll get a new one. Probably can find someone who can mend it. Pirates must have Maidens" he slipped out before placing the extra pieces he had balanced on his leg lightly between his lips, narrowing his gaze before pressing the gauze the start of the wound. He squeaked softly, pulling another from his lips quickly, overlapping a majority of it. "Thats pretty messy..." he mumbled through the layers of supplies.

Mel could barely feel as Edmy started applying the gauze to her arm. He was so gentle and knew exactly what to do. Well, like he said, he probably did this a lot of times before. The girl was now busy looking at her red covered hand, her eyes wide as she examined it. That was her blood on her hand. She gulped and instinctively started wiping the red substance off on her pants, not even thinking. She just wanted it off of her. The sight of so much of her own blood made her skin crawl.
As the boy started mumbling something, Mel immediately looked over to him, a slightly scared look on her face. "Is it really that bad?" She asked quietly, sorta scared she hurt herself pretty bad. The girl tended to be a worrier at times.

He plucked a few more pieces out, getting it half way covered before he responded. "Looks deep but as long as we get it covered it will be fine" he smiled slightly, looking back down at the task at hand. Edmy was well aware he was usually the one receiving the treatment, but with the little amount of experience he had it wasn't that bad of handiwork. He got it down to the point where there was still a small opening left, and he dug through his pockets looking for a little more. None met him, and he settled with a band-aid he found in his back pocket. The corners and packaging were messy and worn, but he placed the clean band-aid over the last stretch, patting her arm lightly. "All done", he smiled warmly, getting to his feet to finally take a clear look out the window. The musty darkness met him, and he instantly plopped back onto the metal bottom. "Our timings off a bit, I guess"

As Edmy finished his work on her arm, Melody twisted her neck to see his work. It wasn't no doctor's work, that was for sure, but it was better than anything she could do. Feeling relived that she wasn't bleeding all over the place now, she finally noticed the large red streak on her pants. The girl sighed and shook her head. Now she would have to get a new jacket and a new pair of pants. Jeez, what else could go wrong?
Pulling her legs in, Mel pushed off the ground with her left arm, getting to her feet. She walked over to the window, her right arm hanging limply at her side. She was kind of afraid to move it. She examined the dull world outside and rose a brow. Why did Edmy want to come here? Shrugging she turned back around to face the boy.
"Thanks for the help," The girl said in a soft voice. She then rubbed the back of her neck and looked away from him. "And sorry for, uh, crashing us and all. Guess I need to get the hang of things." Her voice was louder now, and she let out a small laugh afterwards.

"Not like I could have done any better with that. The landing job I mean" he responded dryly, ignoring her thanks. "So what do you think? Should we see if it gets lighter out....?" Edmy was now too double thinking his suggestion, wondering slightly if Dude had tricked him with fantasy lies of pirates that shouted Parley and Rrrr. He swiped his finger across his small wound, smudging the drying blood across his pale skin, giving the small spot a rather tanned look. The teenager sighed, rubbing his temples softly. He had no clue in the world what they were going to do now, and he felt it was partly his fault.

Melody brought her hand down and turned back around to face the window as she listened to Edmy talk. She narrowed her eyes at the dark world staring back at her and made an annoyed face. She didn't like this place at all. It gave off an eerie and ominous feeling. It just didn't feel right. She let out her breath and closed her eyes. She doubted if it did get lighter. Placing her right on on her hip, she leaned slightly to that side as she responded.
"Well, I'm going to see what damage we have, hopefully it's not too much." Dropping her arm, she turned around and headed for the place where to ladder would fall. "You can stay here if you want." She didn't really care what he did. She just needed to fix this thing so the could get out of here. She pressed a small button on the side and the top started open again, the ladder dropping. She proceeded to head down into the odd world.

He amused him self with the blood, looking up as she spoke. "M'mmm. Not the right kind of guy to go out there" he told her softly, rummaging through his pockets for something to pass time, "Don't hurt yourself again, Mk?" Edmy settled with sitting back in the co-pilot's chair, fuddling with the reclining function. He only took a few peeks out the window, aiming to work himself toward getting used to it. He suddenly remembered he was there for the ocean, and his eye slit up suddenly. A place couldn't be all that bad if there was actually a ocean! Either way, he decided, they'd still have to explore the world for at least some minimal help. Edmy wasn't that careless in his thoughts of people to let her keep on with her arm like that.

Mel slowly lowered herself on the ladder, getting used to using her injured arm. She could feel it still bleeding underneath the gauze, though she convinced herself it wouldn't bleed through. If it did, she was in trouble. The didn't have anything else to wrap it in. As her foot finally hit the ground, it sunk in as she put her wieght on it. She looked down and made a disgusted face. If this day wasn't bad enough, they just had to crash in mud. Hopefully the whole world wasn't like this.
It took Melody a minute to get to the front of the ship in the mucky ground. Once she got there, she place her hand on her chin and looked around. Not that much damage, the ground must have absorbed some of the impact. Suddenly, the feeling of someone watching her rushed over the girl. She snapped her head around to see no one there. Shivering, she started to get to work, even if it was hard just using her hands.
