Edmy couldn't help but to poke over the top to double check she had made it to the ground, flashing her a thumbs up before sliding back down into the cockpit. He scooped up the dead lighter off the floor, sliding it back into his cargo pocket. He aslo scooped up reminats of the band-aid wrapper, slipping them into his pocket as well. His shoulders relaxed as he gazed around, not quite sure how to entertain him untill Melody returned from damage check. The chair caught his attention, slipping down onto his knees to check for a culprit of her wound on the bottom rim. He drew his finger lightly across the bloody surface and it dug away slightly, and he pulled back, sucking lightly on the fresh wound. "That would do it...", he murmered, now happy his head had collided with mostly the seat rather than the sharp bottom.

Melody worked furiously at putting the fallen panels back on. It was one of the simplest tasks to do but difficult without any tools. Narrowing her gaze, her hands worked like clockwork, twisted and mending the broken parts. she wiped her forehead, leaving a streak of mud from her hand on it. Just at that moment, a sound from behind her made her grow stiff. What was that? Snapping her head back around, her eyes widened as she saw what caused the noise.
There was a group of people standing before her, and they didn't look too nice either. She bent her knees and moved her arms into a defensive position. So, she hadn't been imagining that feeling before. Shit, this was just great. Now, her day couldn't get any worse. She gritted her teeth and watched as the proceeded forward. "Uh, Edmy?" She called, her voice sounding frightened.

Edmy lifted his head, popping up over the top once more. "Yea--", he cut off as he noticed the extra shapes, squeaking before ducking back down into the ship. He swooped down, taking a crack at the metal rim, successfully taking a chunk of slightly rusted metal. He slipped it into his pocket, hoisting himself back over the ships side to come to what he could manage to call 'aid'. Edmy managed to half-ways decently walk through the mud, coming to slowly stand beside her. "Er, Made new friends?" he asked her softly, quickly waving at one of the figures. He put his hand back down, resting it above the pocket he had hidden the makeshift too.

"Umm, not exactly." Melody didn't take her eyes off the new arrivals, not wanting to let her guard down for a second. Who knew what these guys were up to. She could only imagine the worst. Narrowing her eyes, the girl instinctively reached where her flute would be in her jacket. When she hit air, her eyes widened and she looked down at herself, just noticing that she had left her jacket in the ship. She patted her self down, hoping it would just pop up somewhere. Correction, now her day couldn't get any worse.
Mel took in a sharp breath. "Shit," She looked over to Edmy, looking more scared now. "My flute's up in the ship!" Without her flute, she couldn't really do anything. She was pretty flexible, but that was only good for dodging whatever they threw at them. She couldn't do any damage just by herself.

Edmy cringed, slipping his fingers into his pocket. He couldn't do much on his own either, other than run away, but even at that he couldn't manage too far with out collapsing. He looked past the new arrivals, trying to see if they had to, where exactly they could even to manage to run to, but he couldn't make much of anything out. The dirty blond took a sideways step twords Melody, titling his head slightly. "What do you want?" he asked softly, but firm enough not to show the blossoming fear inside of him. His index finger brushed the edge of the metal, and he lowered in even more so he was grasping it lightly between two of his fingers. He stuffed his free hand into his other pocket, trying to look semi-casual like a carefree teenager, and If anything the lighter still had another go to it, and it could sear skin if he tried.

Melody literally let out a growl of frustration, glaring at people slowly advancing towards them. She wasn't going to show any fear to these guys, whoever they were. She'd rather go down fighting then anything. "I want my flute," The girl mumbled, still having a staring contest with one of the 'others'. She crossed her arms. and her stormy gray eyes narrowed and she just wanted to punch these guys in the face, even though she knew she'd cause minimal damage at the most. She just wasn't that strong.
Mel glanced back up at the ship, hoping her flute would just come floating down. No such luck. Dropping her arms and making her hands in fists, she turned back around and lifted her fist to her side, prepared to punch the guy that took the next step.

Edmy took a step forward, so his shoulder lightly brushed hers. "Then go get it" he mumbled, trying to think of a way he could cover for her. He wasn't exactly sure what the hell her flute did that made it so important for the moment, but if she wanted it that badly he'd find a way for it. He felt responsible for landing them partly in this situation. His bracelet tinkled as he drew up his hand to scratch at the back of his head, watching the figure that seemed to lead the group in his faster paced movement. "Come on, we just want a change of clothes and somewhere to crash for the night, traveling delinquents, thats all"

Mel looked over to him with an expression of surprise and worry, breaking the eye contact she had with one of the whoever they where. She hadn't expected Edmy to come down from th ship in the first place and now he's willing to face them alone just to let her get her flute. She shook her head. What was he crazy? These guys weren't looking for a friendly conversation, they were looking for a fight and looking to win. He'd could get hurt, or worse! "B-but, are you sure?"
Mel shouldn't have even asked. She knew from the look on his face that he was. She pushed her bangs wit her hand and they feel down in shaggy layers. "Just don't get yourself killed. I'll be back in a minute." Glaring once more at the people as if saying, 'Touch him and you die.' Then, like a bullet, she was off, racing as fast as she could through the slimy mud. She stumbled a few times before she made it to the ladder, covered in the brown mud. She started climbing in a hurry, ignoring the pain in her right arm.

He watched her out of the corner of his eye, making sure once she was over and he was in the clear to draw the sharp metal out of his pocket. Edmy knew this would drag him into deeper shit, but when one of them stepped forward he flashed it around, the tip barley nicking the rough clothing of the man. "What. The. Hell. Do. You. want?", he snapped but it turned to a sharp yelp as the rough hand grabbed onto his wrist. He twisted the blade but it only scraped the worn clothing, and he cussed under his breath. He didn't resist the man's grasp, seeing how he could imagine it must worse, but when he saw a yellow tooth grin his smart-ass attitude dropped. "P'tty locks there ya know", flinching as the dog of the sea tugged on a dirty blonde clump of his hair. His sea orbs lidded quickly, letting himself go slightly limp and flexible, trying to avoid how much worse the situation could get.

When Mel finally made it to the top of the ladder, she pushed herself up and over the edge, flying across the floor until she reached her torn jacket. Unfolding it, she stuck her hand in the jacket to take her flute out from it's hidden pocket. She pulled it out with ease, though a commotion down below made her heart race. She better hurry up, or who knows what those guys would do to Edmy.
Racing even more quickly down the ladder, her feet barely stopped to feel the stairs beneath her. When Melody was about halfway down, her foot slipped and she went sliding down the rest of the way, her hands stinging. Once she hit ground, she shook them off and shrugged as she raced to the other side of the ship. That saved time, even if it did hurt a little. All thoughts about her previous injury to her arm were long forgotten and she was running on pure adrenaline. As the girl rounded the side of ship, Her eyes grew wide then narrowed in anger.
"Let him go, you bastard!" Mel raised her flute up so that it dangled by her lips. Focusing her mind to the spot where Edmy was standing, she took in a deep breath before letting out a high pitched melody from her flute. It was a very upbeat tune and the notes were very clear and strong. Suddenly, a blue aura illuminated from her body, glowing very brightly. It then raced off from her and over to Edmy's feet, swirling around it a circle. suddenly, in a flash of blue light, it shot up in a whirling wall of musical notes, causing the man to let go of the boy and fly back. Mel stopped playing, and raced over to Edmy, some blue still glowing around her body.
"Are you alright?" Melody fretted again, looking him over before spinning back around to face the others. "Oh, your in for it now." Her eyes were blazing and she wiped her flute up to her lips again.
The one who had been throw back simply laughed as he got back up to his feet, rubbing his arm where there was an obvious burn from the recent attack from Mel. "Whatcha goinna do, puppet? Play me another song?" He laughed and the others soon joined in. "I know your little trick now, dear."
Mel took in a sharp breath and stared the guy down. He was right, she couldn't use her normal defensive moves on these guys. They weren't gonna give up. Sighing, she decided to resort to using her last option. Taking in another breath, she started playing another tune, this one more sharp and wild. After she played the tune for about five seconds, her flute disappeared and two long swords appeared in her hands from a blue aura.
Mel didn't want to resort to this, but she figured it might scare em' off. She wasn't that good at using this technique yet, and was pretty sure she'd mess up somehow, probably would stab herself instead. But, she couldn't let them know that. "But do you know this one?" She hissed, standing protectively over her ground.

Edmy didn't open his sea orbs until he felt a sharp tug, the man's hand parting from his dirty hair. He fell back slightly, catching himself before he hit the muddy ground, rounding on his heel so he stood behind Melody. He was physically exhausted, no longer bothering to try and keep his eyes open, barley noting Melody's actions. "I'm fine. Thanks" he mumbled, sitting back on his heels. He watched her though exhausted eyes for a second before responding, "Magic. Dude told me how you could use it once" he muttered to himself, plopping down in the mud. It seeped quickly through his pants but he didn't seem to mind it, more or less fustrated more by his condition. The boy's body didn't want to work anymore without a extreme amount of effort, and it made him seem highly oblivious to the situation. His health made him scold himself under his breath, getting back to his feet, leaning slightly against the stranded ship. "Thats why you wanted that thing?" he asked to the air, watching her with a careful gaze, still holding the half-ways useless metal between his fingers defensively. He drew in the musty air sharply, cringing as it burned slightly as he inhaled. Edmy sank back to the ground, admitting he was useless now, still watching her with a now steady gaze.

Melody clenched her teeth as the people still started to advance forward. Good god, what did these guys want so badly from them? Like seriously, they weren't giving up for anything. She took her foot back as th one who she had sent flying sttood tall in front of her. She looked up at him, her eyes narrowed as they held yet another staring contest. "Back off," Mel commanded, her voice a little shaky. "I'm warning you, I'll, I'll,"
"You'll do what, girlie, stab me with that pretty sword of yours?" The pirate let out a loud laugh before he was cut off by Mel's right sword piercing his chest.
Mel had only done what her instincts had told her to do. She didn't want to hurt anyone or have anyone be hurt, but herself and Edmy's safety came first. She took a couple of short breaths before looking back up at her victim, her whole body chilling at what she saw.
He-he was smiling, laughing even, even though it was a very faint laugh. Her eyes widened and she fell back, her legs weak from the shock. He should be dead! What the hell was he? As the guy lifted his head, he let out a loud chuckle and pulled the sword from his chest cavity.
"Your going to have to do better that that, miss. Sorry, your little toys won't do anything to me." He let out a toothy grin and went down to reach for the defeated girl who was sitting on the ground, too baffled to retaliate by what had just happened.

Edmy's head snapped up as he watched her attack the man, and he flinched as he watched it peirce though. His eyes clouded in horror, and it took him a second to process it through. "Mel--!", he started franticly, jumping as fast as he could manage to his feet. His exasperation was cut off by amazement when the sea dog responded with a pure laugh, and he took a few steps forward, snapping his hand out quickly to grab the mans wrist when he lurched for Melody. The musty air was still thick to breathe and his breaths were ragged still, but he took a long stride to stand directly between them. "S'y but you should to not pick on a girl. Pedophile" he responded casually, even though he wanted to shout a rapid amount of questions at the 'man', "We have nothing for you" He loosened his stance, reaching his freehand back to offer to Melody. He wiggled his fingers, waiting to help her to her feet, throwing over a weak smile over his shoulder before turning back to continue his challenge to the pirate.

Mel snapped out of her shock state and glanced up at Edmy as he stood between her and the man. What, where did he come from? I second ago she could have swore he was behind her. She must have zoned out after the failed attack. Shivering at the thought that the guy had lived through a heart stabbing, she shook her bangs out of her eyes and grabbed her sword with her left hand. As Edmy gave out his hand, she smiled a bit and gently grabbed his hand, pulling herself slowly to her feet. All the movement she had been doing had caused her arm to start to bleed again, and it was very close to bleeding through the bandage. She winced as she noticed the pain she was in, her adrenaline worn out.
Getting back onto her feet now, she still stayed behind Edmy, but glared back over at the man who still held her sword in his hand. It was bad enough that he was, well, pretty much invincible, but now he had a powerful weapon in his hands. She still clamped on to Edmy's hand, totally scared out of her wits.

Edmy's eyes flooded with relief once he felt her hand connect with his, confirming that she was at least o.k., flicking a soft smile over his shoulder once more. Suddenly Edmy's gaze snapped back, and his face quickly etched with pain. The blade was pressed to the back to the back of his hand, and he watched the grin spread across the pirates face once more.
"Wanna ponder lettin' me go princess?" he jeered openly, throwing his free hand into the air to stroke at his beard.
Edmy instantly yanked his hand back, trailing the cut down the top of his hand painfully and down to his middle fingers tip. He took a second to examine it, the start at his wrist the deepest down to a paper cut like depth at his finger, before being painfully yanked forward into the man's dirty clothing. He cringed in pain as his arm was yanked and twisted, forcefully facing Edmy sideways, drawing the blade to the base of his neck.
"Will ya come too, tiny queen?" he asked Melody dryly, taking Edmy's face in his free hand.
