He leaned back against the wooden panels, pondering for a second. "No clue. I didn't even realize she disappeared last night..." he trailed off, returning to finishing off the bottle. Edmy discarded in onto the counter, slowly picking off the bandages that concealed his hand. He lightly lightly, showing her the small patch of needle worked skin, "She wasn't really that great at it. Would it bug you if I tried it? That way we don't have to stay around here god knows how much longer."

Melody stuffed the rest of the bread in her mouth as Edmy mentioned sewing her up himself. She stopped in mid bite and stared at him with big eyes. Could he really do that? Did he even know how? She closed her eyes and chewed the rest of her small meal before crossing her arms and swallowing. She brought her hand up to her face and scratched an annoying itch on her cheek.
"As long as you promise you won't make it worse then it already is, then go ahead." Mel mumbled softly, rubbing her arm.

Edmy smiled softly, "M'mmm. Promise." He grabbed onto Melody's wrist, pulling her down the hallway. He wouldn't admit that during his mothers vain attempts to bond with him he had sat through a few sewing classes, but he had to admit he was crafted at it. He pushed her lightly twords the recliner, swooping twords the stash of medical supplies to draw out the curved needle.

Mel let out a little squeak of surprise as Edmy grabbed her wrist and pulled her out of the room. She kept up with his pace though she did stumble a few times. She let out a little smile. This reminded her of when they were in Echo Caverns making their great escape. However, this time she was the one being pulled instead. As they reached the main room, the girl looked around, sort of hoping the old lady had come back. She wasn't sure if Edmy really could sew up her arm good.
As the boy pushed her softly towards the chair, Melody fell down into the soft fabric and sat quietly as she watched him gather up the supplies. She gulped as he pulled out the needle. She never did like needles or anything pointy for that matter. She remember kicking and screaming when she was younger when she needed to get a shot. But, she would have to control herself this time.

Edmy turned around, walking back to her. He laughed, easily reading that she wasn't going to enjoy this. He thought quickly, sitting across her lap, pinning Melody to the chair with his light frame. He grabbed onto her arm, pinning it lightly to his knees, turning to her. "M'mm ready? Faster were done, the faster we can leave"

Melody's face grew red as Edmy sat on her, not letting her move an inch. She struggled to get out, now having second thoughts about this stitching thing. She stopped when she realized it was now use and sighed, her cheeks still bright pink. As the boy grabbed onto her arm she tensed up and went cross eyed looking at the needle. She then looked to Edmy as he spoke, whimpering a response.
"Go ahead," Mel squeaked out, blinking twice as she uncrossed her eyes. Edmy's lucky he was big enough to hold her down, otherwise she would have locked herself in one of the rooms by now.

He laughed slightly, reacting to her ever apparent blush. "Gawd. You do that a lot Mels," he teased as pulled her bangs back, turning back to the task at hand. Edmy tilted his head, trying to think how he would start it. He slowly unwrapped a part of it, touching the needle lightly to her skin as a sort of before-it-happens-bracer. He lightly pushed it through, wincing himself as it broke skin. "Sorry..." he murmured softly, continuing his work.

Mel narrowed her eyes as he commented on her red face. "Shut up." She mumbled, her face starting to go back to normal. Every time she got the slightest bit embarrassed or anything she would blush. It wasn't her fault. Damn genetics, her mother was the same way. She let out a short breath and looked over towards the door. Still no sign of the old lady. Guess I'm going to have to let out Edmy do it. She looked back over just as Edmy pushed the needle through her skin, and she let out a small shriek.
Mel immediately looked for something to squeeze onto like she normally did to get her mind of the initial pain. She reached out for her pant leg, but ended up grabbing Edmy's instead. Oh well, it helped her keep her mind off of it. "I'm fine, just hurry up." She managed to get out, looking away from where he was working.

Edmy nodded slightly, unwrapping the bandages and working the exposes skin. Damn, it was pretty messy. He worked silently, letting her vent on her own, not minding as long as he wasn't going to gain physical harm.
"Done" he chirped, stiffly standing up. He had to admit his work wasn't that bad, and compared to the puffiness of his own stitching, he had made a effort to keep it clean. Edmy stalked across the room, throwing the needle into the unorganized pile. He made a high pitch yelp as a withered hand came into contact with his shoulder, and he was greeted by the widow with a sharp smack on the back.
"Did your mo' let you clean up like that 'eetie? Live in a barn!?" she taunted angrily, moving to clean up the mess that had been there long before he had.

As Edmy finished, Mel let out a sigh of relief and twisted her head to the right to examine his job. It wasn't the nicest she'd ever seen, but it was better then bleeding out. Rubbing the the stitched area softly, she pulled her legs up on the chair and sat in a pretzel position. "Thanks," She said with her normal, bubbly personality.
As she spotted the old lady hovering behind Edmy, the girl stared blankly at her, wondering where the heck she came from. As she criticized the boy on the mess he didn't even make, she let out a small giggle, only to cover her mouth with her hands a second later. she shouldn't laugh, not after Edmy had been nice enough to fix her up. Plus, that crazy old lady probably wouldn't like it. she didn't seem to like much.

Edmy shrugged her away, letting the widow bicker to herself as she sorted through the pile. He grabbed a roll of bandages as he evaded her, plopping back onto the couch and starting the re-wrapping his lame hand. Even though it was stitched tight, the dirtiness and un-sanitary conditions of the world made him want to double check it stayed clean. His bright sea orbs glazed over for a second as he spaced out, and it took a few seconds for him to snap back to reality, finishing up the job and losing the availability of a majority of his hand once more. He leaned back, hanging his head over the arm rest, letting gravity pull away the pesky hairs that had moved to cover his eyes once more. "So what's on your mind now?" he asked Melody casually, rolling over. Trying to focus upside down killed his eyes a bit.

Mel let her hands fall into her lap and flicked her loose bangs out of her eyes with a quick flick of her head. She looked around the room and at the clock. It was mid-day but still very dull and gloomy out. She shook her head. She sorta missed the bright colors and atmosphere of home. She stared blankly into space as she mulled it over, only to be snapped back into reality by Edmy's question.
"Oh nothing really," The blonde girl replied softly, running her hands through her frizzing hair once more. It was awfully humid here. "Wanna go see your ocean now?" Mel asked rather quickly, wanting to change the subject. She didn't want to admit she might be missing her old home one bit. "sooner we get out of here the better."

Edmy's eyes lit up at the mention of the body of water, nodding enthusiastically. "I'm with you on that one" He swung his legs over the edge, motioning with a flick of his head twords the grumbling lady. 'Ditch her?' he asked Melody mentally, eyes flickering with a playful glint. He seriously didn't want to talk to Nana at the moment, happy that she had let them invade her house, but nothing closer then strangers in his mind.

Melody nodded eagerly with a small smile spread across her face. She slowly got off the old piece of furniture and reached her arms to the sky as she always did to stretch. She slowly walked over to Edmy, rubbing her arms. She was getting a little cold and was wanting her jacket right about now. She stood next to Edmy and waited for his next move.

Edmy inched twords the door, pushing the unlocked wood outward, and it swung easily open. When Nana didn't stop digging through a pile, he lurched forward and grabbed Melody's Hand, yanking her through the entryway. He had no clue how to navigate the dirty port, but he could hear the ships already pounding against the dock, easily noticed on the horizon.
